A New Chiropractor Near You: Helping Adjustments Last Longer
A New Perspective on Chiropractic Care in Gillette, Wyoming.
Have you had good results with chiropractic adjustments in the past, and it feels like you aren’t getting the same results now? Have you recently sought chiropractic treatment for the first time, and feel immediate improvement for a short time, but the pain persistently returns after a few days? I have been able to answer “yes” to these questions many times about patients in my care in the past. I have experienced many folks out there who have good results with their chiropractic adjustments, but for some reason these adjustments just don’t seem like they hold well, or as “long” as they had in prior experiences, causing a need for higher frequency of treatment than would be expected for their particular diagnosis.
Although there may be various underlying degenerative changes that may drive the need for a higher number of adjustments, whether from previous injury, repetitive activities/jobs over years, etc. there are many who have none of these sequelae (something that amplifies a problem you already have). If you feel you might be in this category, hope is still on the horizon for many of these “Yeses.” Your quality of life may be greatly improved by simply following the biomechanics chain from the floor up. In other words, look at the feet, then the knees, followed by the hip sockets and finally the pelvis. It is very likely that knee or hip pain, possibly from old injury or increasing degenerative changes, and even more likely that a foot/arch problem could be the culprit in these cases.
The key to improving the life of your adjustments may simply be in addressing these lower extremity issues, by strengthening the hip muscles, correcting the hinge motion of the knee, or even orthopedic foot inserts (In my past clinical experience, plantar fasciitis and/or flat feet are overwhelmingly the most frequent causes when foot/arch pain is present with a persistent low back or buttock pain).
